The photo is taken about 1930, when she would be about 44. Query: Want to know about Muriel Leanore Michael (b. Aug.27,1908, Owen Sound, ON.).  Muriel was regarded badly by most of her family.  Was George Percival Michael really her father (b. mid 1800s, Ontario)?  Sarah Michael (nee Gowler, b. mid 1800s Manitoba, later orphaned) was her mother.
Her sister who hated her deeply since childhood told us that Muriel was born in Winnipeg, on/about Aug.27,1908, and that Sarah Gowler Michael was OUR (Muriel's children) AUNT!!!  Questions:  Was Muriel (who definitely looked/acted differently from the Michaels) adopted, illegitimate?  Was she really born in Owen Sound on the Michael farmstead attended by a mid-wife, or in Winnipeg (even Poplar Point?).  Question:  why would Sarah Gowler Michael travel to Owen Sound in late pregnancy when she suffered so many miscarriages ... why did she try to run away from the Michaels farmstead (while waiting for Muriel's birth).  Who are the Michaels (a large family, some Christian names were: Stanley, Charles, George, Edward, James, etc.).
Any possibility of finding out exactly where Muriel Michael was born, and her parentage, even if only to verify the Michaels as her real parents (even tho that would not explain their peculiar and cold behaviour toward her).
The Michaels of Owen Sound:  what is their background.  I understand that George P. Michael's mother was a Wetter (she died terribly from cancer); his father started out as a butcher (I think).  Would be very interested in contacting the Wetters related to George Michael's mother ... at her time of life the Wetters lived in/around Toronto (old York).
If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I do know however that they moved a few years later to Saltcoats, Sask (N.W.Territories at the time) I believe it was 1901. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I should mention that the surname was sometimes spelled McLeod. They were Presbyterians and would have attended their Church if there was one. My Grandfather was (among other things) a Stone Mason. He constructed the Presbyterian Church in Barvis Sask.

Jane Smith & Joseph Henry Bickel married in Ontario, moved to North Dakota and in l900 to Winnipegosis. They died there in l9l8. In Jane Smith's lst marriage there were 4 Hunking children, some joined them in Winnipegosis.
A.A.Duxbury and Lily May Bickel lived in Winnipegosis, Bowsman, and Minnedosa. They are buried in Neepawa.
There is also mention of a Fleming family in my notes. Any information would be appreciated.

Melvin married Merran Alexina Byron Weir and they lived in Minnedosa, Manitoba until their deaths in 1968. After his passing, there was an old letter found addressed to Melvin from his Aunt 'Edith Baltzer', I am unsure if she was from his father's or mother's side.
