Richard Rose Ross

Came to Manitoba in 1879 from Western Ontario;  settled in Rossburn,
which was named after him.  Born in Richmond, Ontario in 1842.  Died
in Rossburn in December 1904.  He was a Methodist lay preacher and
highly repected.  Married to Margaret McKee,  who was born in
Northern Ireland and emigrated to Canada,  living in Western Ontario
prior to her marriage.  They had nine children but none who remained
in Rossburn.  Richard Rose Ross and Margaret McKee are both buried in
Rossburn cemetery.
